Changes & Challenges: Insights of the New Norm

You’ve heard it many times now. Change is constant. We’re in a new world economy. Businesses are constantly under threat of disruptive technologies. Technological innovation is exponentially increasing. Sometimes it’s hard to know what to do and what to focus on.

That’s why we’re inviting you to come join us for some informal networking, wine tasting, nibbles, and insights from local leaders. Joining Aileen and William on the couch will be Scott Norris from Perth Airport, Jenny Allen, former CEO of Youth Focus, and Associate Professor Marian Sturm from Cell and Tissue Therapies WA (part of Royal Perth Hospital). They’ll be discussing their experiences in adapting to and thriving in changing and challenging times. Coming from a variety of industries, there will be something of value for everyone.

Speaker Information

Scott Norris is finishing up as the Executive GM of Commercial Services at Perth Airport and is about to embark on a brand new adventure in Vancouver (so if you want to hear about the transformation of Perth Airport and Scott’s role, now really is your only chance!).

Jenny Allen was the CEO of Youth Focus and grew the NFP from a budget of $240 000 to $10 million and from a staff of 3 to over 50. She currently sits on the board of multiple organisations and has recently taken up a role as CEO of The 500 Club.

Assoc. Prof. Marian Sturm is a scientist and researcher at Cell and Tissue Therapies WA, a biotherapeutic manufacturing facility at Royal Perth Hospital. The research at the facility is cutting-edge and their experiences in developing new technologies and bringing them to commercialisation contain valuable lessons for us all.

We’ll be kicking off with some wine tasting at 5pm with Q&A style conversations on the couch starting at 5.30. We’re keeping the event intimate and informal so that you can really get value from each of the speakers. Each of these speakers is an inspiration, and I’m really excited to hear more of their journey and insights—I know this will be a really valuable evening.

Who should attend?

If you are leader with a growth mindset and a team in which you want to promote entrepreneurial behaviours to turn them into innovative intrapreneurs then, you should definitely come along.

Thank you too most sincerely for the book I received – I chose "The Best Place to Work" by Ron Friedman and I look forward to reading it over the weekend whilst I am away in Bunbury! Thank you most sincerely once again, Aileen. I look forward to future events you arrange.
